Developed by Germany’s Apollo Automobil, creators of the iconic Gumpert Apollo and the stunning Apollo Intensa Emozione, the EVO is an absolute head-turner. With its razor-sharp edges, aggressive fins, and Star Wars-esque design, it looks like it’s already tearing down the track even while standing still. Uncompromising Performance and Driving Dynamics On the track, the EVO is anything but stationary. Apollo claims the EVO can hit speeds of up to 208 mph, while still managing to nail the 0–60-mph sprint in approximately 2.5 seconds. This incredible performance is the result of a collaboration with HWA AG, the German motorsport engineering shop behind the jaw-dropping Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 EVO II tribute car. Under the hood lies an enhanced version of the 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V-12 from the Intensa Emozione. This powerhouse revs to 8,500 rpm and churns out a staggering 800 hp and 564 lb-ft of torque. The power is transferred to the rear wheels through a Hewland sequential six-speed transmission controlled by electro-pneumatic paddle shifters, providing lightning-fast gear changes. The suspension system is pure race-car technology, featuring pushrods and adjustable struts front and rear. For braking, the EVO comes standard with carbon-ceramic brakes that measure 15 inches in diameter front and rear. It rides on center-lock forged alloys, with 20-inch wheels up front and 21-inch wheels at the rear, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires. However, if you’re truly serious about your track days, Apollo can equip the car with race-spec steel brakes and 18-inch wheels fitted with Michelin race slicks for ultimate grip and stopping power. Advanced Aerodynamics and Lightweight Construction
The exterior of the EVO is a work of art, sculpted from carbon fiber and wrapped around a new carbon-fiber monocoque. This innovative construction makes the chassis 10 percent lighter than that of the Intensa Emozione while being 15 percent stiffer, ensuring exceptional rigidity and occupant safety. While the EVO features more rocket-style fins than any car since the 1958 GM Firebird III concept, it boasts no massive rear wing. This is because the car relies on advanced active aerodynamics, centered around a hydraulically actuated rear wing that can deploy into the airflow in less than a second. The wing can continuously vary its angle of attack to optimize the balance between aerodynamic efficiency and downforce. At 200 mph, Apollo claims the aero system generates up to 3,000 pounds of downforce, which is more than the EVO’s 2,900-pound curb weight. This incredible downforce allows for higher cornering speeds and improved stability. An Exclusive and Minimalist Interior The interior of the EVO is as purposeful as the exterior, designed to maximize driver focus and minimize weight. Constructed almost entirely of carbon fiber and ultra-light “bionic” aluminum structures, the interior is incredibly stiff and lightweight. The fixed bucket seats are bolted directly to the monocoque, and a sliding pedal box allows drivers of different heights to find the perfect driving position. The compact steering yoke features an optimized grip geometry for precise control. Limited Production and Bespoke Craftsmanship Just 10 Apollo EVOs are being built, and each one is fully bespoke, finished and detailed to each owner’s exact specifications. This means no two EVO cars will ever be exactly alike. While the price isn’t for the faint of heart, starting at around $3.5 million before local taxes and fees, it reflects the exclusivity and cutting-edge engineering that goes into every vehicle. The first car is already under construction and is expected to be delivered in the first half of this year. The Apollo EVO represents the pinnacle of track-day hypercar design and engineering. It combines raw power, advanced technology, and bespoke craftsmanship into a truly exceptional machine that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible on the track.
