🐱 Toby was a gentle cat who lived happily in the arms of his family. But then, one day, they decided to give Toby to another family. He couldn’t understand why the people he loved didn’t want him anymore 😢.
💔 Missing them so much, Toby could only think of one thing — to go home. He traveled 12 miles (nearly 20 km), through long distances, rain, wind and hunger, just to see his loved ones again.
🏠 When he arrived, Toby wagged his tail gently, his eyes filled with hope. But instead of welcoming him with open arms, his old family took him to the animal shelter and demanded that he be given an injection to end his life 😭.
🐾 Luckily, the staff there couldn’t bear to do such a cruel thing. They contacted the SPCA of Wake County, and the people there took Toby in and cared for him. Toby had FIV and respiratory disease, but with love and dedication, he gradually got better day by day ❤️.
📢 When Toby’s story went viral online, a woman named Michele Puckett read it. She immediately felt that Toby was her destiny. Michele drove to the animal shelter and adopted Toby that same day 🚗💨.
Now, Toby lives in a loving home, with a warm bed, loving owners, and new cat friends to play with every day 🏡🐾.
